Hello friends and family,
In January 2007 we left home in our Dodge and 5th wheel to discover New Zealand, starting out in the South Island with Margreet and Ian who came over from America for 5 weeks. We came North around July as it was getting kind of cold in the South Island and Henk and Alice were going to Australia for a holiday and we looked after our house for them!! After this first year in and around the South and North Islands of New Zealand, we left New Zealand in 2008 to travel the Eastern part , Red centre and the island of Tasmania in Australia.
We briefly came home and in March 2009 we continued our travels in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico We started our third year off with visiting Margreet and Ian in New Mexico and Dan in California. From where we left to travel the West coast of the States through Canada all the way up to Alaska and back through Canada, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, Arizona to New Mexico for Christmas. Where we looked after Margreet and Ian`s house and herd for 6 weeks whilst they were away travelling Holland, Marocco and Niger. This gave us a nice break from travelling.
In February 2010 we were on the road again in America and this year we went travelling through the middle of the United States up to Canada, crossing the border in Sault Saint Marie and across Canada all the wayto the East and North to New Foundland, back down along the East coast of America to winter in Florida.
At the end of january 2011 we made a voyage on a cruiseship through the Panama Canal from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles, which took three weeks. From Los Angeles we went home on the 12th of February for a two months visit to New Zealand. It was good to see Alice and Darrens children Katherine and Christopher and to be able to catch up with some of our friends back home. We had a few other things to take care off but by the 18th of April we were back in the United States. We went back to Fort lauderdale picked up our Rv and slowly made our way to Great falls, Montana. As we dropped off our RV to our niece Beatrix and we awaited the birth of Marks and Trixes first child there.
Before leaving on the train from Shelby, Montana via Chicago to New York where we boarded the Ocenaliner Queen Mary2 for passage from new York via Southampton to Hamburg. We arrived on the 4th of August 2011 and embarked on our Europe travels.
We will keep you updated about our travels throughout the world on a monthly basis. We will update our website with photo's and stories, sharing with you our adventures
