Darren loves his salmon and as we are not able to catch them we have to buy them, we were eating it on a Monday and when Darren was in the States last year with Margreet and Ian they ate Salmon every Monday so this photo is for them!!.

In Whanganui we took a trip on an old steam boat, there is a lot of history in Whanganui and this boat is part of it. It was pretty windy but still a great trip however it took about 5 goes and a nervous captain to get the boat moored as the wind kept blowing us a way but we eventually made it a shore.

The rugged coastline of Whanganui and as you can see the wind had blown lots of trees and stumps on the mainly black sandy beach.
On the way back we stopped on top of a hill and walked up to the look out, as it was a very crisp clear day we could see very far. Jusdt behind us are the three mountains from Taupo still covered in snow, however the ski season had closed.
Back in Rotorua we set up camp in Ngongotaha at the motorcamp Willow heaven next door to home. Helen came to visit us and was greeted by a mother duck with ducklings who come in the morning to the 5th wheel to see if we have any left overs from breakie.
Whilst at Sabines we used the opportunity to catch up with some friends for dinner. Sabine and Russell have a real pizza oven in their garden set under a pergolla. Everybody made their own pizza and it was a lot of fun and lekker. Here we are with the Bunnink family Henk and Alice (our caretakers for animals and house) kids and grandkids.
Henk and Darren checking the state of the next pizza!

Every morning before school Stefan, Isabel, Albert and Darren or i would go for a walk along the river just behind Sabine's house. Very easy out of the door and straight there, good for all of us and Albert just loved it.

Isobel and i went trick and treating for Halloween in the street were they live and all though it is not a big street we came back with a heap of candies, no wonder if you and your dog look this cool.
The house in Sunset road SOLD whilst we were housesitting which made the month even better.
Sabine and Russell will not be back till the 10th of November so more photo's and stories from Rotorua inj November.
