February/March 2009

We had arrived back in New Zealand and planned to stay for two months before heading of in the sunset again. It was time to catch up with family and friends and to make sure that all our "business-dealings" where running smoothly.

Darren brought our 5th wheeler to Papamoa beach where we checked into a campground just minutes away from the beach and handy to shops and access road to Rotorua.

The weather was friendly and we had fun doing everything we set out to do. No surprise however that we still managed to run out of time!!

One very unplanned but happy occasion was our wedding on the 6th of March 2009 at home.

Visit with Brian and Sue, in Napier. We had planned to go to the yearly Montana Estate Concert in Napier with this years star guest Lionel Richie. However after having set up our chairs, tarp and umbrella ready for the concert to begin it was called of because of heavy heavy rain. The next day was of course picture perfect!.

Great game of golf and catch up with Ngerali and Rex at the Okorori golf course. Nice weather, nice company and a good game.

Back in Okorori this time with Henk and the members of the Hamurana Golfclub. Another good weather day, good company and a fun game.

BIG catch up weekend with Susanne, Liam and Jayna who arrived first on Thursday, in Papamoa, with their huge tent.

On Friday, Tanja, Dina and Luke arrived in the morning and towards the afternoon Sabine, Russell, Stefan and Isabel arrived. Between the 5th wheeler, the tent and one cabin and the use of the kitchen we all managed to eat, sleep and have good times for the whole weekend.

March 14th in front of the tent and 5th wheeler, we had a ball.

18th of March darren's 44th birthday, thanks Henk and Alice a decorated chair and home made amandelspijs.

Henk, busy spoiling us some more, with home made oliebollen another one of our favorites.

With all the eating and drinking Darren and I had decided to do some fitness and we where very lucky to find Lin who took us under her wings for 6 weeks ( twice a week) Not only did she get us fit she set up a programm which we will be able to follow whilst traveling.

Henk and Alice picked us up when we arrived in Auckland from Australia, and they also dropped us off when we left to go to the States. We went a day earlier and spend a fun day together exploring Auckland by day and night.

That is us we decided to ge married before taking off to the states, the BIG day was on March the 6th with Henk, Alice, Christopher, Helen and marriage celebrant Susanne in our home at Bedwardine Street, Rotorua.

It was a special day with lots of emotions a few tears of joy and a lovely meal at night.

We stayed for a long weekend in Okareka for our "honeymoon" as our real honeymoon is our trip through the States anCanada. (a whole year long!!)

We left on the 28th of March and landed in Los Angeles where Dan picked us up from the airport. We are going to stay for the first week with him and catch up.
